The Crevice

The Crevice, near Red Rock State Park, is a one mile and a half hike up to the top of a mesa and back down through a narrow canyon. Hikers must navigate a steep climb up the sculpted red rock and then monkey crawl back down a large crevice into the base of a canyon shaped by millions of years of floods. It offers great views of Gallup, the Zuni Mountains, the White Cliffs and the surrounding area.
